Against a backdrop of fierce competition, Qantas embraced a process of competitive tendering across its airport operations in 1997. Since then, Nestadt Consulting has worked with Qantas to train internal bid teams in the preparation of competitive tenders, data collection and open-book management as well as to improve operations, internal communication and rosters. Improvements in the order of 20% have been achieved.
